VISITING THE KINGS GRAND PALACE BANGKOK THAILAND

Visiting The Kings Grand Palace | Phra Borom Maha Ratcha Wang | Bangkok, Thailand | Booh Recluta

This is The Grand Palace or in Thai word, “Phra Borom Maha Ratcha Wang is located in Na Phra Lan Road of Bangkok. Open for the visitors daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Built-in 1782 and has been the official residence of the Thai Kings for almost 150 years. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are also held here every year and sometimes if you get the chance you may also see some military action and marches around but for now, it's not a good day to see that for us. The Grand Palace lives up to his name because of the beautiful, majestic and most popular places to visit when you are in Bangkok. This is also one of the best architectural monuments in the world. So when visiting the Grand Palace I must advise you to bring sunblock, water, wear a comfy and appropriate dress as the strict dress code applies.

The main attraction of the Grand Palace, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha or the Wat Phra Kaew and is regarded as the most sacred Buddhist temple of Thailand. I know their entrance fee of 500 baht is kinda expensive but I assure you it’s worth the money because this 94.5 hectares with has over 100 buildings with over 200 years royal history and amazing mural detailed painting with a massive golden chedi or stupa of Phra Sri Rattanais is the most photographic and instagramable location and one of the best temples to explore in heart of Bangkok. The place is well maintained because some buildings are reserved for special events. Buildings are decorated with a beautiful and colorful ornament including gold. There are buildings where taking photos or videos inside are not allowed where the Emerald Buddha is located and some are only the Thais are allowed to enter especially in the front of the monuments. I must say I enjoyed visiting this great place even though it was too crowded.
